Are you an Orphan? Have you lost a parent recently? Are you an “adult” that just can’t seem to “adult?”
Well stop your near constant scrolling of blogs in the year 2025 and look no further!!
Welcome, my grief girlies, my sisters of sorrow, my ingenues on anguish, to the blog you didn’t know you needed until you REALLY NEED IT!
This premiere blog is the one stop blog shop for the dead parent club.
Whether you’ve stumbled upon this site by accident or have been lured here by the algorithm daddy…. Welcomeeee! Grab your SSRIs and let’s embark on this universal, yet surreal life journey together.
I identify as a middle of the road millennial, so like many of you, I was taught a lot of things like:
Dairy milk builds strong bones.
Stranger Danger!
P.E.M.D.A.S.
What I was never taught by the public school system… or really anyone… were the answers to these happy topics:
how to be a caregiver?…
how to lose a parent?…
how to plan a funeral?
how to grieve?…
how to go to therapy and process the unfathomable?…
and who the HELL do I talk to about this stuff now that everyone is dead?!
That's Where This Orphan Come In!
From orphan finance to funerals, we are gonna cover it here with a lot of wit and a little bit of wisdom.
The questions, however, still remain… and what can we do about it?
Honestly, I’m still figuring that out myself. I will never pretend to have all of the answers. Loss and grief journeys are so specific to the individual and the answers are different for everyone.
All I can do is share some of my own adult orphan journey in the hopes that it might help yours and to let you know you are not alone on this path.
Let’s use this blog together, laugh through the bitter pain of existence, and be as prepared as possible for one of the toughest chapter in life… and let’s do this journey together rather than alone, shall we?
